Your legacy Starts Today
ATHLETES

Without question, the nation was rocked by the collapse of Buffalo Bills defensive back, Damar Hamlin, during week seventeen’s game against the Bengals. Hamlin, after suffering cardiac arrest on the field, has now returned back to Buffalo and is making improvement daily. Once able to communicate with doctors, Hamlin inquired “who won the game?” to which doctors replied, “Yes, you won. You’ve won the game of life.” This statement couldn’t be more true of a professional athlete who chose to use his platform to make an impact well before tragedy struck.
Damar Hamlin’s , The Chasing M’s Foundation, was created as a vehicle to bring lasting impact to his community. The foundation supports toy drives, back-to-school drives, kids camps, and more. Hamlin, on his foundation page, states, “As I embark on my journey to the NFL, I will never forget where I come from and I am committed to using my platform to positively impact the community that raised me. Despite Hamlin’s remarkable medical turnaround, one of the most impactful outcomes of this tragedy was the giving spirit that arose from fans and supporters across the country who rallied together in prayers, support, and generosity, donating over $8 million dollars for Hamlin’s Chasing M’s Foundation.
In recent years, a trend has emerged among professional athletes, to deepen their relationship with philanthropy and charitable giving. In light of Buffalo Bills Damar Hamlin’s tragic accident, now more than ever is the time for professional athletes to begin their philanthropic journey. Athletes Charitable is here to help.

NFL Playoff Members

Did you know?
Did you know that Athletes Charitable provides members with options on how they desire to leave a legacy? A great option for some members has been the Donor Advised Fund (DAF). A simplified vehicle for giving that’s directed to efforts that are meaningful for the athlete and still make a significant impact on communities. The vision and strategy development is based on the needs and desires of the athlete. The DAF is a quick and easy process where a membership advisor walks you through each step, they can provide information to your personal financial team, and recommend grants to fulfill your desired mission. From record-keeping, and application processes, to the logo design process – working with Athletes Charitable makes this process seamless.

Advice from an industry expert and the leader of Athletes Charitable
As a former professional athlete, one of the most important things I have taken away from years of playing the league is the relationships I have established over the many years playing in the NFL. With 1% of Americans having the opportunity to play at a professional level the experience can be full of highs and lows. The relationship that is built amongst other teammates serves as a life-long brotherhood that will continue well after years in the league. 360 Sports Leadership Academy is one way my former teammates stay a part of my life. Many of these individuals have become subject matter experts with their post careers at many of my sports leadership academies. This brotherhood serves a bigger purpose these days, one that truly keeps giving.
